Downpipe Manufacturing Process Timeline
DOWNPIPE PRODUCTION v3.1

Downpipe Manufacturing Process

1
STEP 01

Material Selection

Aircraft-grade stainless steel

304/321 SS
Premium 304 or 321 stainless steel is selected for its exceptional heat resistance (up to 1500°F) and corrosion resistance. Material is sourced from certified US suppliers with full traceability.
2
STEP 02

Precision Cutting

Laser and plasma cutting

±0.005" tolerance
Tubing is precisely cut to length using CNC laser and plasma cutting systems. Flanges are laser-cut from 3/8" thick stainless plate for maximum durability.
3
STEP 03

Mandrel Bending

CNC-controlled bending

Smooth radius bends
All tubing is bent using mandrel bending equipment to maintain consistent inner diameter and smooth flow characteristics critical for turbo performance.
4
STEP 04

Flange Machining

CNC milling

OEM-spec flatness
All flanges are CNC machined to ensure perfect flatness and precise bolt patterns that match factory specifications for leak-free installation.
5
STEP 05

TIG Welding

Aerospace-grade welding

100% argon purge
Certified welders assemble components using TIG welding with 100% argon shielding gas. All welds are visually inspected and pressure tested.
6
STEP 06

High-Flow Cat Installation

EPA-compliant options

200-400 CPSI
For catted versions, we install premium 200-400 cell high-flow catalytic converters that meet EPA requirements while maximizing flow.
7
STEP 07

Final Finishing

Professional surface treatment

Mirror or ceramic
Each downpipe receives either a competition-grade mirror polish or optional thermal ceramic coating for heat management and corrosion protection.
8
STEP 08

Quality Assurance

Rigorous testing

100% inspected
Every downpipe undergoes dimensional inspection, pressure testing, and flow bench verification before being approved for shipment.
